SCHH ARC “This & That” — December 17, 2024
Programs for January and February Firmed Up
Our ARC has been very fortunate to have had some great programs during the past two years. Much credit goes to Ed Stratton, W1ZZ, who found many of the presenters and asked them to provide us with programs.
On January 2nd, we will kick off the new ARC year with our Membership Meeting at 7 PM in the Bayside Room at the Lakehouse. Our program will be provided by Francis Donavan,W3LPL. He will discuss radio wave propagation. Here is a photo of his antenna farm. It looks like he has the “stuff” to still make some hay when the amateur radio bands go south!
Looks like he or someone he knows has a good drone also!
February 6th’s meeting will be held in Pinckney Hall so that we can take a tour of the SCTV area in that building. Sun City TV has provided our club with nice overage of our Field Days and also enabled us to tell our story about how we are planning an emergency preparedness and operations plan. They have agreed to show us around and tell us what they do and how they do it. After the tour, we will have a membership meeting in the Congaree River Room. More details will be included in “This & That” as we get into mid-January or so.
Ed is hopeful that our March 6th program will be provided by the Computer Club and will cover ChatGPT technology. More to come on that as well.
So, stay tuned!
