2023-05-09 Weekly This & That Newsletter

A Quick Note from KB3FW

I have accepted the responsibility of getting “This & That” out to our Club’s members on a weekly basis for the coming months.

T&T has been put together by Charlie, AD5EN, since I have been a member. Charlie has done a GREAT job in finding content and culling content sent to him by Club members for inclusion in this weekly blog.

Russ, N1ZK, has agreed to help me to come up to speed on keeping T&T current, informational, and interesting.

All Club members are invited to contribute interesting content such as links to Items of Interest, jokes, cartoons, etc.

I am looking forward to hearing from many Club members!

Items of interest

International Morse Code Day

Samuel F.B. Morse’s birthday was April 27th. That date has now become “International Morse Code Day”. The “F.B.” does not stand for “Fine Business” but rather “Finley Breese”. Two middle names! And not even hyphenated!!!  More details:  https://www.amateurradio.com/international-morse-code-day-april-27/

New CW Contest Starts This Week

Promise…we’ll include other modes than CW in the coming weeks! Check this out though.
